Potjiekos is a traditional South African Meal. It takes skill to bring out all the flavours in a meal like this and is usually done around a fire, where participants, relax, have fun and laugh. We have brought in the competitive side of the event by building teams. The group is divided in smaller teams. The teams need to collaborate with one another in order to plan the best tasting meal. Each group needs to present a meal to the head facilitator and will be judged. A winning team will be announced who receives a floating Trophy and the groups eat from their own creations.
Ever dreamed of being a sommelier, well now is your chance!
This activity has sparked many to become a wine connoisseur. Get to taste and blend a variety of wines whilst having fun and competing with your colleagues to produce the best bottle of wine. The activity doesn’t stop there, you get to bottle your own wine as a reminder of this fantastic experience as well as design a wine label.
Blind Fold Cake Collaboration
This is an interactive event where delegates are divided into teams. Teams are required to design a culinary master-piece that will be judged according to a list of criteria that are directed at the start of the challenge. Each Team is given identical ingredients and tools for the job. There is an incredible amount of trust that comes into play in the final stages of the activity as the execution is largely dependent on accurate transfer of information and direction from team members. This activity pushes boundaries, requires planning and everyone to work a team as well as collaborative skills involving the opposing team. Each Group needs to present the finished cake to the Head Facilitator where judging will take place. LET THEM EAT CAKE!
Shake It Up (Cocktail Making)
A demonstration is given starting with a delicious smoothie that all delegates are able to taste. Further demonstrations of three different cocktails are given. A task is given to the teams and the winner is the first to select their ingredients followed by the runner up teams. Tips and facilitation are given whilst the teams are preparing their conconctions. We are able to tailor make the cocktail choice based on a theme or a country. A further challenge is given and the winning team will obtain additional ingredients. All cocktails are then presented and judged and the winner presented with a floating trophy.

This event is an interactive event where you are enlightened about different South African Gins.
What to expect: You get the opportunity to taste 4 – 6 different Gins and mixers. We provide all the glassware, equipment and dressings for your drinks.
The idea is to taste a selection of gins that are from different distilleries. We teach you how to pair the correct accompaniments and provide you with a selection of condiments for you to play and experiment with.
We use the best quality gins, as most delegates have never even tasted a premium gin.
We usually do this event at the start of an evening or it can be paired with dinner. We would need to discuss the menu with the chef preparing your food.
Should you not have a suitable venue for this, we can accommodate up to 40 guests at a private restaurant / bar that stocks over 60 local gins. For Goodness Sake Bistro in Muldersdrift.
This is a very social playful event and we bring in a little gin trivia allowing you to score random points and the winner gets to take home the Gin we have actually made during a Gin Making Demonstration.
Please not that some Hotels and Venues are Licenced and do require a corkage fee. We only give half tots for the tasting, this is to ensure that we do not go over the legal limit.
